  • Mirapex, prescribed for Parkinson’s and restless leg syndrome, can cause heart damage and compulsive behavior.

  • Risperdal was marketed for bipolar disorder and autism in children. The maker did not disclose severe side effects: breast enlargement in young men.
  • Taxotere is a chemotherapy drug commonly used to treat breast cancer and has caused permanent hair loss in many patients.
  • Zofran is prescribed for morning sickness and has been linked to devastating birth defects.
  • Zantac, the heartburn medication has been recalled due to potential carcinogenic concerns.
