Jeffery K. Thornell has practiced law for over thirty-two years. Prior to joining HMG, Jeffery has practiced in many different areas of law such as family, personal injury, business and criminal. As a trial lawyer in the great State of Texas, he performed jury trials, bench trials and hearings in various courts throughout Texas. His multiple trials occurred in San Antonio, Brownsville, Edinburg, Laredo, Eagle Pass, numerous small towns west of San Antonio and in the beautiful Texas Hill Country for the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Office.
Jeffery is a San Antonio, Texas native and earned his law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. He graduated Cum Laude while ranking in the top ten graduates of his class of 1988. While in law school, Jeffery received numerous academic honors and awards. Notably, he was a recipient of numerous Mock Trial Awards and American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts, Torts, Property and Civil Procedure.
Jeffery has litigated numerous cases for Plaintiff’s severe personal injuries, business disputes and child support prosecutions while obtaining millions of dollars for “justice for all” of his clients and the State of Texas.
Prior to law school, Jeffery earned a Bachelor of Arts-Government- degree from the University of Texas-Austin and subsequently worked in the Oil & Gas exploration industry while traveling throughout the United States wildcatting for oil, also known as “Texas Tea”.
