DANIEL COVICH

Daniel Covich joined HMG in 2022 and brings with him a wealth of knowledge regarding corporate law and litigation.  Most recently, he served as General Counsel and CEO of an emergency room ­health care company where he focused on regulatory and administrative compliance, the execution of corporate documents, and third-party negotiations and dispute resolution.  Previously, he worked at HMG as a litigation attorney, where he maintained a heavy civil litigation caseload.  His areas of practice include wrongful death litigation, product liability, premises liability, commercial vehicle and general civil litigation.

Daniel has also spent several years as a partner and in leadership roles at high-profile litigation firms throughout Texas.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Covich is an adjunct professor at the University of Texas Law School.

Mr. Covich earned his law degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University.

Daniel has received numerous accolades, including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Presidents Award in 2012, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Foot Soldier’s Award in 2012, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Recognition Award in 2007.

Mr. Covich is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is also admitted to practice before the US District Courts for the Southern, Western & Northern Districts of Texas.
