A TEXAS LAW FIRM with a NATIONAL REPUTATION for RELENTLESSLY PURSUING JUSTICE.

SOPANHA ANDERSON

Background

Sopanha Anderson is an attorney within the Medical Malpractice division of Hilliard Law.  As the daughter of immigrants who were able to escape political genocide, a deep sense of justice was steeped into her upbringing at a very young age.  Her family’s history and a strong appreciation of the role of the lawyer in our justice system propelled her to seek this profession as a means to protect those who have been wronged and need a voice.  Being a part of the Hilliard Law family helps her to do exactly that: aggressively advocate on behalf of those who cannot be heard.

A graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sopanha was a Dean’s Scholar recipient as well as a regional finalist of the Giles Rich Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition.  While earning her Juris Doctorate, she also participated in the Elder Law Clinic of the Interprofessional Center for Counseling and Legal Services where she represented senior clients and persons with disabilities in cases involving guardianship and conservatorship.

Prior to law school, Sopanha earned her political science degree from the University of Minnesota and worked on Capitol Hill.  Outside of work, Sopanha enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
