A TEXAS LAW FIRM with a NATIONAL REPUTATION for RELENTLESSLY PURSUING JUSTICE.

On Friday, November 5, 2021, a tragic crowd surge at Astroworld in Houston, Texas led to ten fatalities and numerous injuries. A sold-out, two-day event in NRG Park with an estimated attendance of 50,000 people all rushed through security to watch Travis Scott perform. One witness stated, “As soon as he jumped on the stage, it was like an energy took over and everything went haywire.” And described the crowd surge as “all of a sudden, your ribs are being crushed. You have someone’s arm in your neck. You’re trying to breathe, but you can’t.”

The age range in fatalities were from 10 to 27. 10 people were killed in the chaos and thousands were injured. Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena said, “it was the crowd control at the point of the stage that was the issue, especially as the crowd began to surge toward the stage.” Based on the fire codes, the venue had the capacity to hold 200,000 people, but city officials limited the attendance to 50,000.

Attorney Bob Hilliard along with civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump are representing numerous victims and have already filed lawsuits on their behalf.  “We are hearing horrific accounts of the terror and helplessness people experienced – the horror of a crushing crowd and the awful trauma of watching people die while trying unsuccessfully to save them,” Crump said in a statement.
