Guiding Corpus Christi's Growth

In 2019, Catherine Hilliard was appointed by Nueces County to serve as a Port of Corpus Christi Commissioner, only the fifth woman to serve in this role, and currently serves as Secretary of the Port Commission. The Port Commission is dedicated to maintaining and improving the port’s navigation channels, as well as to encouraging industrial expansion and attracting new cargo.

Serving As City Councilman

Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Judge John B. Martinez began his legal career right here on the Texas Gulf Coast. In 2006, at age 33, Judge Martinez became one of the youngest judges ever elected in the State of Texas. After nearly five years of service, he stepped down from the bench and joined Bob Hilliard’s landmark firm, recognizing their shared commitment to helping others and fighting for what’s right.

Judge Martinez carried his strong sense of ethics to a seat on the Corpus Christi City Council, which provided a gateway of support to our neighbors throughout the community. During his tenure as a Council Member, Judge Martinez has been involved in countless local projects and infrastructure programs, including the building and repairing of thousands of Corpus streets, new waterfront developments, and the reconstruction of the beloved Cole Park Pier.
